The Bartley Family

Beneficiary

Mike and Jenny Bartley have been residents of Van Zandt County since 2000. They met at the University of Arkansas, while majoring in Music Education, and have been married for 31 years. They have two sons, Daniel (21) and Matthew (18). Mike and Jenny are both band directors in East Texas.Mrs. Bartley is the Assistant Band Director at Grand Saline, teaching both middle school and high school band. Mr. Bartley is the Head Band Director/Fine Arts Director at Canton High School. For thirty years, they have had outstanding success with their programs, along with teaching students hard work, determination, and how to be an excellent musician. They have inspired countless students over the years, and are a cherished part of the community.

On July 22, 2023, while at a band director convention in San Antonio, Jenny was walking in a crosswalk and was struck by a vehicle. She suffered major injuries, including a brain bleed, fractured arm, and a fractured jaw, to name a few. She spent over a week in ICU, and has since been moved to Baylor Scott & White in Dallas for rehab. Though she is making a recovery, the expenses of the hospital bills, ambulance rides, and rehabilitation services are overwhelming. The funds from this event, along with prayers, are more than appreciated.
