Krystal's Story

Krystal's Story

Meet our third beneficiary

When she was 19 years old, the first diagnosis was on her left ovary. It had filled with a cancerous fluid call mucinous carcinoma. The doctors opted for surgery instead of chemotherapy. When they removed the left ovary, it was filled with 12 liters of fluid and weighed about 25 pounds.

Within a year, the doctors found mucinous carcinoma in her right ovary. At the age of 21, she had to have a complete hysterectomy. She underwent three rounds of chemo after the surgery as a precaution.

Now three years later, she has received the same diagnosis for a third time. This time, the doctors have found Stage IV mucinous carcinoma, which is covering her right lung.

This seven year battle has demanded patience, perseverance, fortitude, and significant financial resources—all of which Krystal has had to do without insurance. Her chemotherapy treatment will begin soon, and just underwent theoretic surgery to remove the tumor.

The funds from this event will help Krystal with her medical expenses, which can climb to astronomical amounts. She is family, and family fights together.
